Acerca del médico
Ophthalmology that takes care of the orbit, the eyelids, and the lacrimal ducts. The critical foundation for any cosmetic eye surgery is a perfect understanding of the entire eye anatomy – on the surface, underneath, and around the eye. The eyelids, for example, provide protection for the eyes, and they rely on muscles and other infrastructure so integral that only an Ophthalmologist with training in Oculoplastics can offer comprehensive, safe services for the correction of cosmetic flaws in the eyelids. The field of Oculoplastics called Dr. Guzmán from very early in his education and career. He was drawn to the high degree of specialization required of the field, was intrigued by the large number of techniques and procedures to master, and was challenged by the intricate precision and minimal margin of error required. Since this specialty field deals with the patient’s face and outward appearance, he considers his practice a fulfilling combination of art and medical science. From 2014 to 2017 Dr. Guzmán consolidated his practice and craft in cosmetic surgery and reconstructive surgery for eyelids at IMSS’ Centro Médico Nacional Siglo XXI IMSS, ISSTE’s Centro Médico Nacional 20 de Noviembre, and as Head of Oculoplastic Services at Manuel Gea González General Hospital – all high patient benchmark centers across Mexico. Now he resides in Tijuana, offering his specialty to patients seeking services at First Level Ophthalmological Centers, such as CODET Vision Institute.
